I just made some juice out of kale and wheatgrass. I must admit it is NOT appealing at all! I’m sure it’s good for you, but I can’t drink it. In the first place, a little wheatgrass just goes through my head. Even a teaspoon of pure wheatgrass does that to me. I mostly use it to help my eyes rest (by applying the juice directly on my closed eyes – very soothing!) Or I use it to ease achy parts of my body. Or help rough, dry hands, skin heal faster. It works for me! Really. But drinking wheatgrass juice is another story. I can take it when juiced with celery or apples or carrots. Pure wheatgrass I cannot take.
I do not recommend wheatgrass and kale either.
Sounds yummy, LOL! I used to drink wheatgrass almost everyday. I do not know how I did it. Now usually I feel like puking afterwards. Someone told me that means I’ve got too much toxins in my system. I suppose if I drink it more often I won’t be so toxic?
I’m glad you got a laugh out of this, Maria M!
Toxins is one thought; sensitivity is another. I’m determined to find a concoction that my body could appreciate. We’ll see. Of course, I could just stop and let it be.
Thanks for stopping by!
I juiced a few grapes along with the wheatgrass and kale and it is actually quite tasty! Don’t know whether the food combining is sensible, but so far I can take it better than just pure wheatgrass juice.
Ahh, this opens the door to infinite possibilities!
I use to drink wheat grass too. But I found there are alot of juices out there that are just as good for you and don,t give you the gag reflex.
